Strength and Conditioning for the Mind
When you hear the word fitness, you most often associate it with maintaining physique and improving one’s physical health. But what if I told you that your mental fitness is more important to your well being because your thoughts are what drive you.
There is a saying in sports: the toughest game is not played on the field, it is the one played between the ears. All of us are playing the hardest game of our lives everyday. We have no choice. We can’t turn off the internal voice that speaks to us, the one shouting from the sideline saying ‘you can’t do this, you’re over matched, those challenges are too hard!’ We have all heard it, often times believe it, and no matter how solid our physical health may be, we struggle because our mental fitness is lacking.
Success begins with mental fitness, whether you are an athlete, stay-at-home parent, executive or just a guy on a journey. Being fit starts on the inside and projects outward as the sculpted body, honed playing skills and highest levels of performance both on the field and in the everyday world.
